Victoria Strata is a New Jersey native and a summa cum laude graduate from Montclair State University. She received her BFA in dance in just 3 years and performed in main stage works by Jessie DiMauro, Christian Von Howard, Nancy Lushington, Kathleen Kelly, Earl Mosley, Abby Zbikowski, and Maxine Steinman. Victoria has also studied with other renowned artists and choreographers at Hubbard Street Dance Chicago’s Intensive in Los Angeles, California, at VIM VIGOR’s Intensive in Summit, New Jersey, the Movement Invention Project in Manhattan and with Doug Varone and Dancers Summer Intensive at SUNY Brockport. After graduating, she received a scholarship to train with the Limón Dance Company as a part of their professional training program under the director of Kathryn Alter and Colin Connor. She performed restaged works of Limón’s masterpieces such as A Choreographic Offering, Missa Brevis, and Psalm, working with distinguished artists such as Bradley Beaks, Daniel Fetecua, Logan Frances Kruger, Risa Steinberg, Nicole Wolcott, and the Limón Company dancers. Victoria has most recently been a guest artist with Donna Scro’s Company Freespace Dance for their Summer Dance Season and is also a performing artist with Daniel Fetecua Productions. Victoria is currently a dance educator and choreographer for Studio J Dance Academy, a ballet instructor for Linda D’Amico’s Academy of Dance, and a touring guest teacher with Man in Motion! |
